Brazil Inspect Consultoria Ltda. is a Brazilian-based independent surveying and technical consultancy company, providing specialized services to the marine, cargo, insurance, and logistics sectors.
Our work supports insurers, underwriters, shipowners, cargo interests, and legal professionals through accurate assessments, impartial reporting, and technical expertise applied to both marine and non-marine risks.
With a strong focus on technical integrity and industry compliance, our services are conducted in accordance with international standards and established market practices, contributing to transparent operations, risk mitigation, and informed claims handling.
Brazil Inspect Consultoria operates without physical branches, acting through its own senior surveyors and a trusted nationwide network of correspondents.
Our operational coverage includes major ports, terminals, warehouses, and industrial facilities across Brazil, with active jurisdiction in the states of Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Minas Gerais (MG), Espírito Santo (ES), Goiás (GO), Bahia (BA), Sergipe (SE), Alagoas (AL), Pernambuco (PE), Paraíba (PB), and Rio Grande do Norte (RN).
This structure allows us to respond efficiently to survey requests across the country, ensuring local expertise combined with centralized technical coordination.

Leadership & Technical Direction
Alexandre Andrade is the Founder, Technical Director, and Lead Surveyor of Brazil Inspect Consultoria Ltda., with a professional career spanning more than three decades in the marine and insurance industries.
A Marine & Cargo Surveyor since 1987, Alexandre holds a technical degree in Mechanics (CEFET), a business graduation as Insurance Executive, and a postgraduate qualification in Risk Management and Insurance Operations (UNESA), bringing together strong technical expertise and deep market knowledge.
He has acted as an Average Adjuster (FENASEG No. 302) since 1990. He has worked as a Lloyd’s Surveyor since 1992, later assuming the role of Technical Director and Main Surveyor of Brazil Inspect Consultoria in 2018, operating within the Lloyd’s Agency – Rio de Janeiro
Brazil Inspect Consultoria holds appointments as:
- Claims & Settling Agent for Lloyd’s of London in Brazil
- Average Agent for CESAM (Comité d’Études et de Services des Assureurs Maritimes et Transports)
- Claims & Survey Agent for W.K. Webster Ltd. global network
- Correspondent for AIMU (American Institute of Marine Underwriters)
Through this international network, Alexandre and Brazil Inspect Consultoria actively support complex claims, surveys, and technical investigations across marine and non-marine sectors.
